Bridges can start with steel, timber or FRP stringers with a variety of decking and railing options. Wheeler provides shop-fabricated stringer bridge kits to fit your needs.
When you’re working in a remote location, you need a bridge that’s easy to transport. Stringer bridge kits are the answer. Shipped as components they’re a site-assembled option with everything you need for installation, including connecting hardware.
Stringer bridges are also great for wetland crossing. Many spans can be linked together sharing common foundations, often built deck-down.
They work with all foundation types. Stringer bridges are compatible with concrete spread footings, timber cribs and driven piling, helical piling and more.
Timber stringers are available in solid-sawn and glued-laminated wood. Solid-sawn stringers are an economical option for spans up to 30’. Glued-laminated stringers are used for spans over 30’ and all cambered spans.
